Getting around Oaxaca

Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) is about 8 km from the center; authorized shared and private ticketed taxis and transfers are the most practical way in. The Centro Histórico is compact and easy to explore on foot, and shared vans and tours to the valley’s towns and sites leave from there.
