Terms of use
Volar is a free flight comparison site. These terms explain what we do, what we don’t do, and what we expect from people using the site. They’re written to be read, not to hide.

1.What Volar is
Volar (volar.com) is a search engine that compares the price of the same flight across airlines and travel agencies and shows you where it costs least. Using the site is free and needs no account.
We are not an airline or a travel agency. We don’t sell tickets, issue bookings or process payments. When you pick a fare we send you to the airline or agency offering it, and the purchase happens there.
2.Prices, availability and errors
The prices we show come from airlines and agencies and are fetched at the moment you search. Airfares change several times a day, and a seat at a given price can sell while you’re looking at it.
So a price on Volar is a reference, not a contractual offer: the price that counts is the one the seller confirms at the end of its checkout. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, but we don’t warrant that it is error-free or that a fare will still be available.
If a price on Volar doesn’t match the seller’s, there’s no transaction to dispute — you haven’t bought anything yet. Search again.
3.Your booking is with the seller, not with us
When you book, the contract is between you and the airline or agency. Their terms, baggage policy, change and cancellation rules and customer service apply.
Volar cannot see, change or cancel bookings made on other sites, and cannot intervene in refunds, delays, flight cancellations, denied boarding or baggage problems. For all of that, the seller that issued your ticket holds your booking and is who can resolve it.
We recommend reading the fare conditions before paying, especially around baggage and date changes.
4.How we make money
We never charge you and never add a markup. When you book on a seller’s site that we sent you to, that seller pays us an affiliate commission. The price you pay is the same you’d pay arriving on your own.
That commission does not influence the order of results. The list is sorted by what you choose — price, duration, or a balance of both — computed from flight data, not from what each seller pays us.
Not every airline and agency in the market appears in our results, so Volar is not an exhaustive view of everything that exists. When a route is flown mainly by carriers our sources don’t cover, it’s worth checking their own site as well.
5.Acceptable use
You’re free to use Volar to search and compare flights, for yourself or for other people. What isn’t allowed:
- Querying the site automatically — crawlers, scripts, scraping, or any program generating searches without a person behind them — without our written permission. Every search costs us real money, and automated traffic is paid for by everyone else in speed.
- Systematically copying, extracting or reusing the site’s prices, listings or content to build another service.
- Attempting to bypass usage limits, security measures or technical restrictions, or deliberately overloading the infrastructure.
- Using the site for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive activity, or in ways that harm other users.
- Impersonating the Volar brand, implying a commercial relationship that doesn’t exist, or presenting our data as your own.
6.Brand and content
The Volar name, logo, design, text and the organisation of the site are ours. You may link to any page on Volar and quote us with attribution; you may not reproduce the site or present its content as your own.
City photographs come mostly from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons and are used under their licences, with each image’s author and licence credited on the credits page. Airline and agency marks belong to their owners and are shown only to identify whose fare is whose.
7.Links to third-party sites
The site links to airlines, agencies and other services. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, or for what happens on them. Once you leave volar.com, the terms of the site you land on apply.
8.Service availability
Volar is provided as is. We aim to keep it running, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, faults, or because one of the data sources we depend on stops responding. We may change, limit or withdraw any part of the site at any time, without notice.
We don’t warrant that the site is error-free or that any search returns complete results.
9.Limitation of liability
Volar is a free information tool. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for purchase decisions made from information on the site, nor for losses arising from fares that changed, incomplete results, service interruptions, or the conduct of the airlines and agencies you book with.
Nothing in these terms limits the consumer rights your country’s law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.
10.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes or when something needs clarifying. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date above. If a change is substantial, we’ll try to make it visible on the site.
