🚕 Getting around Medellin
The main international airport is José María Córdova (MDE) in Rionegro, about 35 km (around 1 hour) from the city; shared airport buses, taxis and private transfers connect to El Poblado and downtown. The small Olaya Herrera (EOH), right in the city, handles regional flights. Medellín has Colombia’s only metro, complemented by the Metrocable cable cars and a tram, all on the Cívica card.
