Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport (CUZ) is about 10 minutes from the center; authorized taxis and hotel transfers are the easiest way in. The historic center is walkable, though at 3,400 m it pays to go slowly, and trains and buses to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu leave from Cusco.
